Objective

To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic art room environment in the aged care facility, ensuring compliance with Australian cleaning standards and infection control guidelines.

Scope of Work
  • Dust all surfaces including tables, chairs, and shelves.
  • Sanitise all high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and art supplies.
  • Vacuum carpeted areas and mop hard floors.
  • Clean and sanitise sinks and surrounding areas.
  • Empty and sanitise rubbish bins.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with infection control standards.
Method
  1. Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust and allergens.
  2. Sanitise high-touch areas with an approved disinfectant, ensuring contact time as per manufacturer's instructions.
  3. Vacuum carpeted areas using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to minimise dust and allergens.
  4. Mop hard floors with a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no residue is left.
  5. Clean sinks with a non-abrasive cleaner, ensuring all soap scum and stains are removed.
  6. Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise the bin interior and exterior.

PassSurfaces have some dust. High-touch areas are mostly sanitised. Floors are mostly clean with visible residue. Sinks have some soap scum. Bins are empty but not fully clean.
FailSurfaces are dusty and stained. High-touch areas are not sanitised. Floors are dirty with visible residue. Sinks are dirty with soap scum. Bins are full or dirty.
Documentation
  • Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks
