Objective

To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic band room environment in an education facility, ensuring compliance with Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Dust all surfaces, including musical instruments, stands, and shelves.
  • Vacuum carpeted areas and spot clean stains as necessary.
  • Mop hard floors using a damp mop and appropriate cleaning solution.
  • Sanitise high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and taps.
  • Empty rubbish bins and replace liners.
  • Clean and sanitise windows and mirrors.
  • Ensure air vents are free from dust and debris.
Method
  1. Use a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
  2. Begin by dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth.
  3. Vacuum carpets using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner.
  4. Mop hard floors with a damp mop, using a neutral pH cleaning solution.
  5. Sanitise high-touch surfaces with an approved disinfectant.
  6. Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste according to facility guidelines.
  7. Clean windows and mirrors with a glass cleaner and microfibre cloth.
  8. Inspect and clean air vents to ensure they are free from dust.
