Objective
To ensure the courtroom in the government building is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, providing a safe and professional environment for all users.
Scope of Work
- Dusting all surfaces including benches, tables, and chairs.
- Vacuuming carpeted areas and spot cleaning as necessary.
- Mopping hard floors with appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Sanitising high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and handrails.
- Cleaning and sanitising public seating areas.
- Emptying and sanitising rubbish bins.
- Cleaning glass surfaces including windows and partitions.
- Ensuring all cleaning activities comply with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
Method
- Prepare the cleaning trolley with all necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring colour-coded cleaning systems are used to prevent cross-contamination.
- Begin by dusting all surfaces using microfibre cloths, starting from the highest points and working downwards.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas thoroughly, paying special attention to corners and edges.
- Mop hard floors using a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no residue is left behind.
- Sanitise all high-touch areas with an appropriate disinfectant, allowing sufficient contact time for effectiveness.
- Clean and sanitise all seating areas, ensuring no visible stains or debris remain.
- Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise the bin surfaces.
- Clean all glass surfaces with a streak-free glass cleaner.
- Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the quality criteria.

Fail | Significant dust and marks on surfaces; floors are dirty with visible residue; high-touch areas are not sanitised; glass surfaces are streaked and dirty; rubbish bins are full or have strong odours. |
Documentation
