Objective

To ensure the landscaping areas of the government building are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, in compliance with Australian cleaning and safety regulations.

Scope of Work
  • Remove all rubbish and debris from landscaped areas.
  • Sanitise outdoor seating and fixtures.
  • Clean and sanitise pathways and walkways.
  • Dust and wipe down outdoor signage and fixtures.
  • Ensure all rubbish bins are emptied and sanitised.
  • Maintain cleanliness of water features and fountains.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with Australian workplace health and safety standards.
Method
  1. Inspect the area for any rubbish or debris and remove it promptly.
  2. Use a high-pressure hose to clean pathways and walkways.
  3. Wipe down outdoor seating and fixtures with a sanitising solution.
  4. Dust and clean outdoor signage using a microfibre cloth.
  5. Empty rubbish bins and replace liners, then sanitise the bins.
  6. Clean water features and fountains using appropriate cleaning agents.
  7. Ensure all cleaning activities are conducted using colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.

GoodMinor amounts of dust or debris present, pathways are mostly clean, outdoor fixtures are mostly sanitised, bins are empty but not fully sanitised, water features are mostly clear.
PassNoticeable dust or debris, pathways have visible dirt, outdoor fixtures are partially sanitised, bins are not fully emptied or sanitised, water features have some dirt.
FailSignificant rubbish or debris, pathways are dirty, outdoor fixtures are not sanitised, bins are full and unsanitised, water features are dirty.
Documentation
  • Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks
  • Incident Reports: Documentation of any cleaning-related incidents, spills, or issues encountered
  • Maintenance Records: Record any maintenance needs identified during cleaning (for reporting to maintenance team)
  • Photos: Before and after photos as requested to document cleaning completion and quality
