Objective
Ensure the negotiation room in the government building is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Scope of Work
- Dust all surfaces including tables, chairs, and window sills.
- Vacuum carpeted areas and spot clean stains.
- Mop hard floors using a colour-coded system to prevent cross-contamination.
- Sanitise all high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and telephones.
- Empty rubbish bins and replace liners.
- Clean and polish glass surfaces including windows and mirrors.
- Ensure air vents are free from dust and debris.
- Check and refill hand sanitiser dispensers.
Method
- Prepare cleaning trolley with all necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring colour-coded cloths and mops are used.
- Dust all surfaces using a microfibre cloth, starting from the highest point and working downwards.
- Vacuum carpeted areas thoroughly, paying special attention to corners and edges.
- Spot clean any visible stains on carpets using appropriate stain remover.
- Mop hard floors with a neutral detergent, ensuring no excess water is left behind.
- Sanitise high-touch surfaces with a disinfectant spray and wipe with a clean cloth.
- Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste according to facility guidelines.
- Clean glass surfaces with a glass cleaner and polish with a lint-free cloth.
- Inspect air vents and dust as necessary.
- Check hand sanitiser dispensers and refill as needed.
