Objective
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the vehicle bay of a government building, ensuring compliance with Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Scope of Work
- Dusting all surfaces including walls, ceilings, and fixtures.
- Sanitising high-touch areas such as door handles and light switches.
- Vacuuming and mopping all floor surfaces.
- Emptying and sanitising rubbish bins.
- Cleaning and polishing windows and glass surfaces.
- Removing cobwebs and insect debris.
- Ensuring all cleaning activities are conducted using colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
- Conduct a visual inspection of the vehicle bay to identify areas requiring attention.
- Use a colour-coded cleaning system to organise cleaning tasks and prevent cross-contamination.
- Dust all surfaces using microfibre cloths, starting from high surfaces and working downwards.
- Sanitise high-touch areas with an appropriate disinfectant.
- Vacuum all floor surfaces using a commercial-grade vacuum cleaner.
- Mop floors with a neutral detergent solution, ensuring no residue is left behind.
- Empty rubbish bins and replace liners, ensuring bins are sanitised.
- Clean windows and glass surfaces with a glass cleaner, ensuring streak-free results.
- Remove cobwebs and insect debris using an extendable duster.
