Objective
Ensure the Customs Area within the Transportation Hub is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring compliance with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
Scope of Work
- Dust all surfaces including counters, desks, and equipment.
- Sanitise high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and counters.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas and mats.
- Mop hard floors with appropriate cleaning solution.
- Empty and clean rubbish bins, replacing liners as needed.
- Clean and polish glass surfaces and partitions.
- Ensure all cleaning activities are performed using colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
- Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust and allergens.
- Sanitise high-touch areas with a disinfectant solution, ensuring adequate contact time as per manufacturer's instructions.
- Vacuum carpets and mats using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to reduce airborne particles.
- Mop hard floors using a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no residue is left behind.
- Empty rubbish bins, clean with a disinfectant, and replace liners.
- Clean glass surfaces with a streak-free glass cleaner and polish with a lint-free cloth.
