Objective

Ensure the cold storage areas within the transportation hub are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to Australian workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Sanitising all surfaces, including walls, floors, and shelving units.
  • Dusting and wiping down all accessible surfaces and equipment.
  • Removing rubbish and replacing rubbish bin liners.
  • Mopping floors with appropriate cleaning solutions.
  • Ensuring all cleaning activities comply with food safety standards.
  • Utilising colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
  1. Prepare the area by removing any items that may obstruct cleaning.
  2. Use a trolley to transport cleaning supplies and equipment to the cold storage area.
  3. Begin by dusting all high surfaces, working downwards to ensure all dust and debris fall to the floor.
  4. Sanitise all surfaces using food-safe cleaning solutions, paying special attention to high-touch areas.
  5. Remove rubbish and replace bin liners, ensuring proper disposal according to facility protocols.
  6. Mop the floors using a mop and bucket with a sanitising solution, ensuring no residue is left behind.
  7. Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the quality criteria.

GoodSurfaces are mostly clean with minor dust or debris. No strong odours. Floors are clean with minimal residue. Rubbish bins are emptied but may have minor residue. Compliance with AS/NZS 3733:1995 is evident.
PassSurfaces have some visible dust or debris. Mild odours may be present. Floors are mostly clean but may have some residue. Rubbish bins are emptied but not thoroughly cleaned. Basic compliance with AS/NZS 3733:1995 is met.
FailSurfaces are visibly dirty with significant dust or debris. Strong odours are present. Floors are dirty or sticky. Rubbish bins are full or have not been cleaned. Non-compliance with AS/NZS 3733:1995.
