Objective
Ensure the data centre within the transportation hub is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, minimising dust and contaminants to protect sensitive equipment and ensure operational efficiency.
Scope of Work
- Dusting of all surfaces including equipment racks, cables, and horizontal surfaces.
- Vacuuming of floors using HEPA-filtered vacuum cleaners to prevent dust dispersion.
- Mopping of hard floor surfaces with anti-static cleaning solutions.
- Sanitising of high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and control panels.
- Emptying and sanitising rubbish bins.
- Inspection and cleaning of air vents and filters to ensure optimal air quality.
Method
- Begin with dusting all surfaces using microfibre cloths to capture dust without dispersing it into the air.
- Vacuum floors using HEPA-filtered vacuum cleaners, ensuring all corners and under equipment racks are reached.
- Mop floors with an anti-static solution to prevent static build-up and dust attraction.
- Sanitise high-touch surfaces with a disinfectant approved for use in sensitive environments.
- Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise the bin surfaces.
- Inspect air vents and filters, clean as necessary to maintain air quality standards.
Equipment
- Microfibre cloths
- HEPA-filtered vacuum cleaner
- Anti-static mopping solution
- Disinfectant spray
- Colour-coded cleaning cloths
- Rubbish bin liners
Quality Criteria
Performance Level | Criteria |
---|
Excellent | No visible dust on any surfaces; floors are spotless and free of debris; all high-touch surfaces are sanitised and free of smudges; air vents are clean and unobstructed. |
Good | Minor dust on non-critical surfaces; floors are clean with minimal debris; high-touch surfaces are mostly sanitised with few smudges; air vents show minor dust accumulation. |
Pass | Noticeable dust on some surfaces; floors have some debris; high-touch surfaces show smudges; air vents are dusty but not obstructed. |
Fail | Significant dust accumulation on surfaces; floors are dirty with visible debris; high-touch surfaces are unsanitised; air vents are obstructed with dust. |
