Objective

Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the fuel storage area within the transportation hub, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Remove all rubbish and debris from the fuel storage area.
  • Sanitise all surfaces, including floors, walls, and storage tanks, using appropriate cleaning agents.
  • Dust and wipe down all accessible surfaces to prevent accumulation of flammable materials.
  • Inspect and clean all drains and spill containment areas to ensure proper function and cleanliness.
  • Utilise colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with relevant Australian workplace health and safety regulations.
Method
  1. Begin by removing all visible rubbish and debris, placing it in designated rubbish bins.
  2. Use a trolley to transport cleaning equipment and supplies to the fuel storage area.
  3. Apply a suitable sanitising solution to all surfaces, allowing appropriate contact time as per manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Dust and wipe down surfaces using microfibre cloths to capture fine particles.
  5. Inspect drains and spill containment areas, cleaning as necessary to ensure they are free from blockages and residue.
  6. Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the specified quality criteria.

PassSurfaces have some dust or debris but are generally clean. Mild odours may be present. Drains and spill containment areas are operational but may have minor residue.
FailSurfaces are visibly dirty with significant dust, debris, or stains. Strong odours present. Drains and spill containment areas are blocked or non-functional.
Documentation
  • Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks

  • Maintenance Records: Record any maintenance needs identified during cleaning (for reporting to maintenance team)
