Objective
To ensure the metal detector area in the transportation hub is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all users.
Scope of Work
- Dusting of all surfaces including the metal detector frame and surrounding areas.
- Sanitising of high-touch areas such as control panels and handles.
- Wiping down of all visible surfaces to remove smudges and fingerprints.
- Vacuuming of the floor area around the metal detector to remove debris.
- Emptying and sanitising of nearby rubbish bins.
- Inspection and cleaning of any visible stains or marks on the metal detector and surrounding area.
Method
- Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust without dispersing it into the air.
- Apply a suitable sanitiser to high-touch areas, allowing appropriate dwell time for effective germ kill.
- Use a damp cloth to wipe down all surfaces, ensuring removal of smudges and fingerprints.
- Vacuum the floor area using a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter to ensure dust and allergens are captured.
- Empty rubbish bins and replace liners, then sanitise the bin surfaces.
- Inspect the area for any stains or marks and clean using appropriate cleaning agents.

Pass | Noticeable dust or smudges on 10% of surfaces; high-touch areas partially sanitised; some debris on the floor; rubbish bins not emptied; visible stains or marks present. |
Fail | Significant dust or smudges on more than 10% of surfaces; high-touch areas not sanitised; excessive debris on the floor; rubbish bins overflowing; prominent stains or marks present. |
Documentation
