Objective
Ensure the rescue equipment area within the transportation hub is maintained to the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards, ensuring safety and operational readiness.
Scope of Work
- Dust all surfaces of rescue equipment and surrounding areas.
- Sanitise all contact points including handles, straps, and controls.
- Wipe down all equipment with appropriate cleaning agents.
- Vacuum and mop the floor area around the equipment.
- Empty and clean rubbish bins in the vicinity.
- Ensure all cleaning is conducted using colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
- Prepare the area by removing any visible debris and ensuring the space is clear for cleaning.
- Dust all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust particles effectively.
- Apply a suitable sanitising solution to all contact points and allow to air dry.
- Wipe down all equipment surfaces with a damp cloth and appropriate cleaning agent.
- Vacuum the floor area using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to ensure dust and allergens are captured.
- Mop the floor with a disinfectant solution, ensuring no residue is left behind.
- Dispose of rubbish in designated bins and replace bin liners.

Pass | Visible dust on some surfaces. No strong odours. Contact points are mostly sanitised. Floor is mostly clean with some residue. Rubbish bins are not overflowing. |
Fail | Visible dirt and dust on most surfaces. Unpleasant odours present. Contact points are not sanitised. Floor is dirty with visible residue. Rubbish bins are overflowing or dirty. |
Documentation
- Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks
- Incident Reports: Documentation of any cleaning-related incidents, spills, or issues encountered
- Maintenance Records: Record any maintenance needs identified during cleaning (for reporting to maintenance team)
- Photos: Before and after photos as requested to document cleaning completion and quality
