Ensure the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in the sewage treatment area of a transportation hub, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Scope of Work
- Remove all visible waste and debris from floors and surfaces.
- Sanitise all surfaces, including control panels, railings, and handles.
- Mop floors with appropriate disinfectant solution.
- Wipe down walls and partitions to remove any stains or marks.
- Clean and sanitise all sinks and taps.
- Empty and sanitise rubbish bins.
- Ensure all drains are free from blockages and odours.
- Use colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
- Prepare cleaning trolley with all necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring colour-coded cloths and mops are used.
- Begin by removing all rubbish and debris, placing it in designated rubbish bins.
- Apply disinfectant to all surfaces, allowing appropriate dwell time for effective sanitisation.
- Mop floors using a figure-eight motion to ensure even coverage and prevent slip hazards.
- Wipe down walls and partitions with a damp cloth, focusing on high-touch areas.
- Clean sinks and taps thoroughly, ensuring no residue or watermarks remain.
- Inspect drains for blockages and odours, addressing any issues immediately.
- Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet quality criteria.
