Objective

Ensure the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in the sewage treatment area of a transportation hub, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Remove all visible waste and debris from floors and surfaces.
  • Sanitise all surfaces, including control panels, railings, and handles.
  • Mop floors with appropriate disinfectant solution.
  • Wipe down walls and partitions to remove any stains or marks.
  • Clean and sanitise all sinks and taps.
  • Empty and sanitise rubbish bins.
  • Ensure all drains are free from blockages and odours.
  • Use colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
  1. Prepare cleaning trolley with all necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring colour-coded cloths and mops are used.
  2. Begin by removing all rubbish and debris, placing it in designated rubbish bins.
  3. Apply disinfectant to all surfaces, allowing appropriate dwell time for effective sanitisation.
  4. Mop floors using a figure-eight motion to ensure even coverage and prevent slip hazards.
  5. Wipe down walls and partitions with a damp cloth, focusing on high-touch areas.
  6. Clean sinks and taps thoroughly, ensuring no residue or watermarks remain.
  7. Inspect drains for blockages and odours, addressing any issues immediately.
  8. Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet quality criteria.
