Objective

Ensure the corridor in the aged care facility is maintained to the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards to provide a safe and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Scope of Work
  • Dust all horizontal surfaces including ledges, handrails, and furniture.
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas and mats.
  • Mop all hard floor surfaces with a disinfectant solution.
  • Wipe down walls and doors to remove any marks or stains.
  • Sanitize high-touch areas such as light switches, door handles, and handrails.
  • Empty and sanitize waste bins.
Method
  1. Begin by dusting all horizontal surfaces using a microfiber cloth to capture dust and allergens.
  2. Vacuum carpeted areas using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to ensure dust and debris are effectively removed.
  3. Mop hard floors with a neutral pH disinfectant, ensuring all areas are covered and excess water is removed to prevent slips.
  4. Use a damp cloth with a suitable cleaning agent to wipe down walls and doors, focusing on removing visible marks.
  5. Apply a disinfectant to high-touch areas and allow the appropriate contact time before wiping clean.
  6. Empty waste bins, replace liners, and sanitize the bin surfaces to prevent odor and contamination.

Documentation
