Objective
Ensure the corridor in the aged care facility is maintained to the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards to provide a safe and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Scope of Work
- Dust all horizontal surfaces including ledges, handrails, and furniture.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas and mats.
- Mop all hard floor surfaces with a disinfectant solution.
- Wipe down walls and doors to remove any marks or stains.
- Sanitize high-touch areas such as light switches, door handles, and handrails.
- Empty and sanitize waste bins.
Method
- Begin by dusting all horizontal surfaces using a microfiber cloth to capture dust and allergens.
- Vacuum carpeted areas using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to ensure dust and debris are effectively removed.
- Mop hard floors with a neutral pH disinfectant, ensuring all areas are covered and excess water is removed to prevent slips.
- Use a damp cloth with a suitable cleaning agent to wipe down walls and doors, focusing on removing visible marks.
- Apply a disinfectant to high-touch areas and allow the appropriate contact time before wiping clean.
- Empty waste bins, replace liners, and sanitize the bin surfaces to prevent odor and contamination.
