Objective

Ensure the lift in the aged care facility is cleaned to the highest standards to maintain hygiene, safety, and comfort for all users.

Scope of Work
  • Dust all surfaces including walls, doors, and control panels.
  • Sanitize control panels, buttons, and handrails.
  • Vacuum and mop the lift floor.
  • Clean and polish mirrors and any glass surfaces.
  • Wipe down and sanitize the lift doors inside and out.
  • Remove any trash or debris from the lift.
  • Inspect and clean lift tracks and thresholds.
Method
  1. Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfiber cloth to remove loose dust and dirt.
  2. Sanitize control panels, buttons, and handrails using a disinfectant spray and a clean cloth.
  3. Vacuum the lift floor thoroughly, paying special attention to corners and edges.
  4. Mop the floor with a suitable cleaning solution, ensuring it is not left slippery.
  5. Clean mirrors and glass surfaces with a glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth.
  6. Wipe down the interior and exterior of the lift doors with a disinfectant solution.
  7. Remove any trash or debris and dispose of it appropriately.
  8. Inspect lift tracks and thresholds, cleaning them with a brush and vacuum as necessary.

PassBasic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
FailVisible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
Documentation
  • Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks
  • Incident Reports: Documentation of any cleaning-related incidents, spills, or issues encountered
  • Maintenance Records: Record any maintenance needs identified during cleaning (for reporting to maintenance team)
  • Photos: Before and after photos as requested to document cleaning completion and quality
