Objective

To maintain a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment in the piano room of the aged care facility, ensuring the health and safety of residents, staff, and visitors.

Scope of Work
  • Dusting of all surfaces including piano, furniture, and decorative items.
  • Vacuuming of carpeted areas and rugs.
  • Mopping of hard floor surfaces.
  • Sanitising of high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and piano keys.
  • Emptying and sanitising rubbish bins.
  • Cleaning of windows and glass surfaces.
  • Spot cleaning of walls and skirting boards.
Method
  1. Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth, ensuring to use a colour-coded system to prevent cross-contamination.
  2. Vacuum carpeted areas thoroughly, paying special attention to corners and under furniture.
  3. Mop hard floor surfaces with a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no residue is left.
  4. Sanitise high-touch areas with an approved disinfectant, following the manufacturer's instructions for dwell time.
  5. Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise the interior and exterior of the bins.
  6. Clean windows and glass surfaces using a glass cleaner and a squeegee for a streak-free finish.
  7. Conduct spot cleaning of walls and skirting boards as needed to remove marks and stains.
