Objective
To ensure the swimming pool area in the education facility is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all users.
Scope of Work
- Sanitising all poolside surfaces, including tiles and handrails.
- Cleaning and sanitising changing rooms, showers, and toilets.
- Emptying and sanitising rubbish bins.
- Wiping down and sanitising seating areas and poolside furniture.
- Mopping floors with appropriate disinfectant solutions.
- Ensuring all cleaning equipment is colour-coded and used appropriately to prevent cross-contamination.
- Checking and refilling soap and sanitiser dispensers.
- Cleaning and polishing glass surfaces and mirrors.
- Dusting and wiping down lockers and storage areas.
Method
- Prepare the cleaning trolley with all necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring colour-coded systems are in place.
- Begin by emptying all rubbish bins and replacing liners.
- Sanitise all poolside surfaces, using appropriate disinfectants and ensuring thorough coverage.
- Clean and sanitise changing rooms, showers, and toilets, paying special attention to high-touch areas.
- Mop floors with a disinfectant solution, ensuring no residue is left behind.
- Wipe down and sanitise seating and poolside furniture.
- Check and refill soap and sanitiser dispensers as needed.
- Clean and polish all glass surfaces and mirrors.
- Dust and wipe down lockers and storage areas.
- Inspect the area to ensure all tasks are completed to the required standard.

Pass | Visible dirt or grime in low-traffic areas. Mild odours present. Some dispensers need refilling. Floors are damp but not slippery. Glass surfaces have noticeable streaks. |
Fail | Visible dirt, grime, or watermarks on high-touch surfaces. Strong odours present. Dispensers empty. Floors are wet or slippery. Glass surfaces are dirty or heavily streaked. |
