Objective

To ensure the theatre space within the education facility is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene, in compliance with Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Dust all surfaces including seats, armrests, and ledges.
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas and spot clean stains.
  • Mop hard floors using a colour-coded system to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Sanitise all high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and railings.
  • Empty and clean rubbish bins, replacing liners as needed.
  • Clean and polish glass surfaces and mirrors.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
Method
  1. Begin by dusting all surfaces using microfibre cloths to capture dust effectively.
  2. Vacuum carpeted areas with a HEPA-filter vacuum to ensure air quality is maintained.
  3. Use a damp mop with a neutral pH cleaner for hard floors, ensuring no residue is left.
  4. Apply a hospital-grade disinfectant to high-touch surfaces, allowing appropriate dwell time for effective sanitisation.
  5. Remove rubbish, clean bins with a disinfectant, and replace liners.
  6. Use a glass cleaner for all glass surfaces, ensuring streak-free results.
