Objective
To ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in the Farmers Market area of the Government Building, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Scope of Work
- Dusting all surfaces including stalls, counters, and display areas.
- Sanitising high-touch areas such as door handles, taps, and payment terminals.
- Vacuuming and mopping all floor surfaces to remove dirt and debris.
- Emptying and cleaning rubbish bins, ensuring waste is disposed of according to local regulations.
- Cleaning and sanitising public toilets, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Wiping down and sanitising seating areas and tables.
- Ensuring all cleaning activities are conducted using a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
- Begin by dusting all surfaces using microfibre cloths, starting from higher surfaces and working downwards.
- Sanitise high-touch areas with an approved disinfectant, ensuring contact time as per manufacturer's instructions.
- Vacuum all floor surfaces using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to capture fine dust particles.
- Mop floors with a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no residue is left behind.
- Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and clean bins with a disinfectant spray.
- Clean toilets using a toilet-specific cleaner, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised and supplies are replenished.
- Wipe down seating and tables with a disinfectant wipe, ensuring surfaces are visibly clean and dry.
