Objective

To ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in the Farmers Market area of the Government Building, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Dusting all surfaces including stalls, counters, and display areas.
  • Sanitising high-touch areas such as door handles, taps, and payment terminals.
  • Vacuuming and mopping all floor surfaces to remove dirt and debris.
  • Emptying and cleaning rubbish bins, ensuring waste is disposed of according to local regulations.
  • Cleaning and sanitising public toilets, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Wiping down and sanitising seating areas and tables.
  • Ensuring all cleaning activities are conducted using a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
  1. Begin by dusting all surfaces using microfibre cloths, starting from higher surfaces and working downwards.
  2. Sanitise high-touch areas with an approved disinfectant, ensuring contact time as per manufacturer's instructions.
  3. Vacuum all floor surfaces using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to capture fine dust particles.
  4. Mop floors with a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no residue is left behind.
  5. Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and clean bins with a disinfectant spray.
  6. Clean toilets using a toilet-specific cleaner, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised and supplies are replenished.
  7. Wipe down seating and tables with a disinfectant wipe, ensuring surfaces are visibly clean and dry.
