Objective

To ensure the public art spaces within the government building are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, enhancing the aesthetic appeal and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors.

Scope of Work
  • Dusting of all art pieces, frames, and surrounding surfaces.
  • Sanitising of touchable surfaces, including any interactive displays.
  • Vacuuming of floors and carpets in the vicinity of art installations.
  • Mopping of hard floors to remove any spills or stains.
  • Wiping down of glass cases and protective barriers.
  • Emptying and cleaning of rubbish bins in the area.
  • Spot cleaning of walls and other surfaces as needed.
Method
  1. Use a microfibre cloth to gently dust all art pieces and frames, ensuring no damage to the artwork.
  2. Apply a suitable sanitiser to all touchable surfaces, allowing appropriate contact time as per manufacturer's instructions.
  3. Vacuum carpets using a HEPA-filtered vacuum cleaner to minimise dust and allergens.
  4. Mop hard floors with a neutral pH cleaner to avoid damage to surfaces.
  5. Clean glass cases with a non-abrasive glass cleaner, ensuring streak-free results.
  6. Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and wipe down the exterior with a disinfectant wipe.
  7. Perform spot cleaning on walls using a mild detergent solution for any visible marks or stains.
