Objective

To ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the radiation monitoring area of a government building, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Dusting of all horizontal surfaces including desks, shelves, and equipment.
  • Sanitising of all high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and control panels.
  • Vacuuming of carpeted areas and mopping of hard floors.
  • Emptying and sanitising rubbish bins.
  • Cleaning and sanitising of toilets and washbasins.
  • Wiping down of walls and partitions.
  • Ensuring all cleaning activities comply with radiation safety protocols.
Method
  1. Prepare the cleaning trolley with all necessary equipment and colour-coded cloths.
  2. Dust all horizontal surfaces using a microfibre cloth.
  3. Sanitise high-touch surfaces with an approved disinfectant.
  4. Vacuum carpeted areas using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner.
  5. Mop hard floors with a neutral pH cleaner.
  6. Empty rubbish bins and replace liners, sanitising the bin interior.
  7. Clean toilets and washbasins with a disinfectant cleaner.
  8. Wipe down walls and partitions with a damp cloth.
  9. Ensure all waste is disposed of according to radiation safety guidelines.
