Objective
Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the casual dining area of a hospitality facility, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and practices.
Scope of Work
- Dusting of all surfaces including tables, chairs, and fixtures.
- Vacuuming and mopping of floors using appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Sanitising of tables, chairs, and high-touch areas such as door handles and light switches.
- Cleaning and sanitising of toilets and washbasins.
- Emptying and sanitising of rubbish bins.
- Spot cleaning of walls and skirting boards.
- Cleaning of windows and glass surfaces.
Method
- Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth, starting from the highest point and working downwards.
- Vacuum the floor thoroughly, paying special attention to corners and under furniture.
- Mop the floor using a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no residue is left behind.
- Sanitise tables and chairs with a food-safe sanitiser, allowing appropriate contact time.
- Clean and sanitise toilets using a toilet-specific cleaner and brush, ensuring all surfaces are covered.
- Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise the bin interior and exterior.
- Spot clean walls and skirting boards with a damp cloth and appropriate cleaner.
- Clean windows and glass surfaces with a glass cleaner, ensuring streak-free results.

Fail | Heavy dust accumulation; floors are dirty and wet; bins are overflowing with strong odours; toilets are dirty with significant stains; glass surfaces are heavily streaked. |
Documentation
