Objective

Ensure the freezer room in the hospitality facility is maintained to the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with Australian food safety and workplace health and safety regulations.

Scope of Work
  • Remove all loose debris and rubbish from the floor and dispose of in the appropriate rubbish bin.
  • Sanitise all surfaces including shelves, walls, and doors using food-safe cleaning agents.
  • Clean and sanitise the floor using a mop and appropriate cleaning solution.
  • Ensure all drains are free from blockages and clean.
  • Check and clean door seals to prevent build-up of mould and bacteria.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is colour-coded and stored correctly after use.
Method
  1. Prepare the cleaning trolley with all necessary equipment and cleaning agents, ensuring all items are colour-coded according to the facility's cleaning plan.
  2. Remove all loose debris from the floor and dispose of it in the designated rubbish bin.
  3. Apply a food-safe sanitising solution to all surfaces, allowing the recommended contact time before wiping clean.
  4. Mop the floor with a sanitising solution, ensuring all areas are covered and excess water is removed.
  5. Inspect and clean door seals, removing any visible mould or debris.
  6. Check drains for blockages and clean as necessary.
  7. Return all equipment to the cleaning trolley and store it in the designated area.

GoodSurfaces are generally clean with minor spots. Floor is clean with minimal residue. Door seals show slight signs of mould. Drains are mostly clear.
PassSurfaces have visible dust or debris. Floor shows some residue. Door seals have visible mould. Drains are partially blocked.
FailSurfaces are dirty with significant debris or stains. Floor is dirty with visible residue. Door seals are heavily mouldy. Drains are blocked and emitting odours.
Documentation
  • Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks
  • Incident Reports: Documentation of any cleaning-related incidents, spills, or issues encountered
  • Maintenance Records: Record any maintenance needs identified during cleaning (for reporting to maintenance team)
  • Photos: Before and after photos as requested to document cleaning completion and quality
