Objective

To maintain a clean, safe, and inviting sun deck environment in hospitality facilities, ensuring compliance with Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Remove all rubbish and debris from the sun deck area.
  • Wipe down all surfaces, including tables, chairs, and railings, using appropriate cleaning agents.
  • Sanitise high-touch areas such as handrails and door handles.
  • Sweep and mop the deck flooring using a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Clean and sanitise any outdoor furniture and fixtures.
  • Ensure all rubbish bins are emptied and cleaned.
  • Check for and remove any cobwebs or insect nests.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with Australian workplace health and safety standards.
Method
  1. Begin by collecting all visible rubbish and debris, placing it in a rubbish bin.
  2. Use a damp cloth with a suitable cleaning agent to wipe down all surfaces, ensuring no streaks or residue remain.
  3. Apply a sanitising solution to high-touch areas and allow it to air dry.
  4. Sweep the deck thoroughly, ensuring all dirt and debris are removed.
  5. Mop the deck using a colour-coded mop and bucket system, ensuring the correct cleaning solution is used for the surface type.
  6. Wipe down outdoor furniture with a damp cloth and sanitising solution.
  7. Empty and clean rubbish bins, replacing liners as needed.
  8. Inspect the area for cobwebs or insect nests and remove them safely.
