Objective

Ensure the Fire Pump Room in the healthcare facility is maintained to the highest cleaning standards, ensuring safety, hygiene, and compliance with Australian healthcare and cleaning regulations.

Scope of Work
  • Dust all surfaces including equipment, pipes, and ledges.
  • Sanitise high-touch surfaces such as door handles and light switches.
  • Vacuum and mop floors to remove dust and debris.
  • Empty and clean rubbish bins, replacing liners as needed.
  • Inspect and clean any visible cobwebs or insect presence.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with infection control standards.
Method
  1. Prepare the area by removing any obstacles and ensuring the space is safe to clean.
  2. Use a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
  3. Dust all surfaces using a microfibre cloth, starting from high surfaces and working downwards.
  4. Sanitise high-touch areas with an approved disinfectant, allowing appropriate contact time.
  5. Vacuum the floor using a HEPA-filtered vacuum cleaner.
  6. Mop the floor with a neutral detergent solution, ensuring no residue is left.
  7. Empty rubbish bins, clean them with a disinfectant, and replace liners.
  8. Conduct a final inspection to ensure all tasks are completed to standard.
