Objective

Ensure the Family Room in the Healthcare Facility is cleaned to the highest standards, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients and visitors.

Scope of Work
  • Dust all surfaces including furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture.
  • Mop hard floors using a colour-coded system to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Sanitise all high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and remote controls.
  • Empty rubbish bins and replace liners.
  • Clean and sanitise any toys or children's equipment.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with infection control guidelines.
Method
  1. Prepare the cleaning trolley with all necessary supplies, ensuring colour-coded cloths and mops are used.
  2. Dust all surfaces using a microfibre cloth, starting from high surfaces and working downwards.
  3. Vacuum carpets and upholstery thoroughly, ensuring no debris is left.
  4. Mop hard floors with a neutral detergent, using a wet mop for sanitising.
  5. Sanitise high-touch surfaces with an approved disinfectant, allowing appropriate contact time.
  6. Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste according to facility protocols.
  7. Wipe and sanitise toys and children's equipment with a suitable disinfectant.
  8. Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the required standards.
