Objective

Ensure the plant room in the healthcare facility is maintained to the highest cleaning standards, ensuring safety, hygiene, and compliance with Australian healthcare and cleaning regulations.

Scope of Work
  • Dust all surfaces, including equipment and shelving, to prevent accumulation.
  • Sanitise high-touch areas such as door handles and light switches.
  • Vacuum and mop floors to remove debris and prevent slip hazards.
  • Empty rubbish bins and replace liners.
  • Wipe down and sanitise any exposed pipes and conduits.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with infection control standards.
Method
  1. Prepare the cleaning trolley with colour-coded cloths and appropriate cleaning agents.
  2. Dust all surfaces using a damp microfibre cloth to capture dust particles.
  3. Sanitise high-touch areas using a hospital-grade disinfectant.
  4. Vacuum the floor using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to ensure air quality.
  5. Mop the floor with a neutral detergent solution, ensuring no residue is left.
  6. Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and ensure bins are sanitised.
  7. Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the required standards.
