Objective

To ensure the chiller plant is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition, meeting Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Dusting of all surfaces including machinery, pipes, and ledges.
  • Sanitising of high-touch areas such as control panels and door handles.
  • Vacuuming of floors to remove dust and debris.
  • Mopping of floors with appropriate cleaning solution to prevent slip hazards.
  • Emptying and cleaning of rubbish bins.
  • Cleaning of windows and glass surfaces to ensure visibility and safety.
  • Inspection and cleaning of drains to prevent blockages and odours.
Method
  1. Prepare the area by removing any obstacles and ensuring safety signage is in place.
  2. Use a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
  3. Dust all surfaces using a microfibre cloth or duster.
  4. Sanitise high-touch areas with an approved disinfectant.
  5. Vacuum floors using an industrial vacuum cleaner.
  6. Mop floors with a non-slip cleaning solution.
  7. Empty rubbish bins and replace liners.
  8. Clean windows and glass surfaces with a glass cleaner and squeegee.
  9. Inspect and clean drains using appropriate tools and cleaning agents.

Documentation
  • Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks

  • Maintenance Records: Record any maintenance needs identified during cleaning (for reporting to maintenance team)
