Objective

Ensure the incineration area is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, minimising health risks and ensuring compliance with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Remove all rubbish and debris from the incineration area.
  • Sanitise all surfaces, including floors, walls, and equipment exteriors.
  • Dust and wipe down all accessible surfaces to prevent accumulation of particles.
  • Mop floors with appropriate cleaning solutions to remove stains and spills.
  • Ensure all rubbish bins are emptied and cleaned.
  • Utilise colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
  1. Begin by removing all visible rubbish and debris, placing it in designated rubbish bins.
  2. Use a trolley with colour-coded cleaning supplies to ensure proper sanitisation of surfaces.
  3. Dust all surfaces using microfibre cloths to capture particles effectively.
  4. Sanitise surfaces with an approved disinfectant, focusing on high-touch areas.
  5. Mop floors using a suitable industrial-grade cleaning solution, ensuring no residue is left.
  6. Inspect and clean rubbish bins, replacing liners as necessary.

FailSurfaces have visible dirt and dust. Floors are stained and sticky. Rubbish bins are full or have strong odours.
Documentation
  • Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks
  • Incident Reports: Documentation of any cleaning-related incidents, spills, or issues encountered
  • Maintenance Records: Record any maintenance needs identified during cleaning (for reporting to maintenance team)
