Objective

Ensure the transformer yard is maintained to the highest cleanliness standards, minimising hazards and ensuring compliance with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Remove all rubbish and debris from the yard.
  • Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including transformers and control panels, using appropriate cleaning agents.
  • Sanitise high-touch areas such as handrails and door handles.
  • Sweep and mop all walkways and access paths.
  • Ensure all drains and water collection points are clear of debris.
  • Inspect and clean any signage for visibility and cleanliness.
Method
  1. Conduct a preliminary inspection to identify areas requiring attention.
  2. Use a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
  3. Remove rubbish using a trolley and dispose of it in designated rubbish bins.
  4. Dust surfaces with microfibre cloths, starting from the highest points and working downwards.
  5. Sanitise high-touch areas with an approved disinfectant.
  6. Sweep walkways with a broom, followed by mopping with a suitable cleaning solution.
  7. Clear drains and water collection points using appropriate tools.
  8. Wipe down signage with a damp cloth to ensure clarity and cleanliness.
