Objective
To ensure the electric vehicle charging area in retail facilities is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene, providing a welcoming and safe environment for users.
Scope of Work
- Dusting and wiping of all charging stations and surrounding surfaces.
- Sanitising of high-touch areas including charging handles and screens.
- Removal of rubbish and debris from the area.
- Mopping of hard surfaces to remove dirt and stains.
- Cleaning of signage and information boards.
- Inspection and cleaning of adjacent pathways and parking bays.
Method
- Use a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
- Begin by dusting and wiping down all surfaces with a microfibre cloth.
- Sanitise high-touch areas using an approved disinfectant.
- Collect and dispose of all rubbish in designated rubbish bins.
- Mop floors with a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no residue is left.
- Inspect and clean signage using a glass cleaner for clarity.

Performance Level | Criteria |

Excellent | All surfaces are spotless, no visible dust or debris, high-touch areas are sanitised, floors are streak-free, and signage is clear and legible. |
Good | Minor dust or smudges on surfaces, high-touch areas mostly sanitised, minimal floor streaks, signage mostly clear. |
Pass | Noticeable dust or smudges, some high-touch areas missed, visible floor streaks, signage legible but not clear. |
Fail | Significant dust or debris, high-touch areas not sanitised, floors dirty or sticky, signage unclear or unreadable. |
Documentation
- Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks
- Incident Reports: Documentation of any cleaning-related incidents, spills, or issues encountered
- Maintenance Records: Record any maintenance needs identified during cleaning (for reporting to maintenance team)
- Photos: Before and after photos as requested to document cleaning completion and quality
