Objective

Ensure the waste bin storage area in retail facilities is maintained in a clean, hygienic, and odour-free condition, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Remove all rubbish from bins and replace bin liners.
  • Sanitise bin surfaces and surrounding areas to prevent odours and contamination.
  • Sweep and mop floors to remove debris and spills.
  • Wipe down walls and doors to remove marks and stains.
  • Ensure proper segregation and disposal of waste according to Australian waste management guidelines.
  • Inspect for pest activity and report any findings to management.
Method
  1. Use a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
  2. Remove rubbish and replace liners using a trolley for ease of transport.
  3. Sanitise bins and surrounding areas with an appropriate disinfectant.
  4. Sweep the floor thoroughly, then mop using a neutral detergent.
  5. Wipe walls and doors with a damp cloth and suitable cleaner.
  6. Ensure all waste is disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Documentation
