Objective
Ensure the waste bin storage area in retail facilities is maintained in a clean, hygienic, and odour-free condition, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Scope of Work
- Remove all rubbish from bins and replace bin liners.
- Sanitise bin surfaces and surrounding areas to prevent odours and contamination.
- Sweep and mop floors to remove debris and spills.
- Wipe down walls and doors to remove marks and stains.
- Ensure proper segregation and disposal of waste according to Australian waste management guidelines.
- Inspect for pest activity and report any findings to management.
Method
- Use a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
- Remove rubbish and replace liners using a trolley for ease of transport.
- Sanitise bins and surrounding areas with an appropriate disinfectant.
- Sweep the floor thoroughly, then mop using a neutral detergent.
- Wipe walls and doors with a damp cloth and suitable cleaner.
- Ensure all waste is disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Documentation
- Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks
