Objective
Ensure the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in the baggage makeup area of the transportation hub, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Scope of Work
- Dust all surfaces including conveyor belts, trolleys, and storage areas.
- Sanitise high-touch areas such as handles, buttons, and control panels.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas and mop hard floors using appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Empty and clean rubbish bins, ensuring proper waste segregation.
- Wipe down all visible surfaces to remove smudges and marks.
- Inspect and clean air vents and grilles to maintain air quality.
Method
- Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust particles effectively.
- Sanitise high-touch areas with a hospital-grade disinfectant, ensuring contact time as per manufacturer's instructions.
- Vacuum carpeted areas using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to minimise airborne dust.
- Mop hard floors with a neutral pH floor cleaner, ensuring no residue is left behind.
- Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and clean bins with a disinfectant spray.
- Wipe down all surfaces with a damp cloth to remove any remaining marks or smudges.
- Inspect air vents and grilles, cleaning them with a vacuum or damp cloth as necessary.

Fail | Significant dust and marks on surfaces; high-touch areas are not sanitised; floors are dirty with visible debris; air vents are clogged with dust. |
Documentation
- Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks
