Objective
To ensure the Container Area within the Transportation Hub is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene, in compliance with Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Scope of Work
- Dusting all surfaces including shelves, ledges, and containers.
- Sanitising high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and handrails.
- Vacuuming and mopping floors to remove dirt and debris.
- Emptying and sanitising rubbish bins.
- Cleaning and polishing glass surfaces and windows.
- Removing any visible stains or marks from walls and floors.
- Ensuring all cleaning activities adhere to colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
- Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust particles.
- Sanitise high-touch areas with an approved disinfectant, ensuring contact time as per manufacturer's instructions.
- Vacuum the floor using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to remove dust and allergens.
- Mop the floor with a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no residue is left behind.
- Empty rubbish bins and replace liners, then sanitise the bin interior and exterior.
- Clean glass surfaces with a streak-free glass cleaner and a microfibre cloth.
- Inspect walls and floors for stains, treating with appropriate cleaning agents as needed.

Fail | Heavy dust accumulation; floors are dirty with significant residue; high-touch areas are not sanitised; glass surfaces are dirty; strong odours present; rubbish bins are full and unsanitised. |
