Objective
Ensure the Dangerous Goods Store within the Transportation Hub is maintained to the highest cleaning standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Scope of Work
- Dusting of all surfaces, including shelves and storage units.
- Sanitising of all high-touch surfaces, including door handles and light switches.
- Mopping of floors with appropriate cleaning agents to remove spills and prevent slip hazards.
- Emptying and sanitising rubbish bins.
- Cleaning and sanitising of any spill containment areas.
- Ensuring all cleaning activities comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Method
- Use a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
- Begin with dusting all surfaces using microfibre cloths to capture dust particles.
- Sanitise high-touch surfaces with a disinfectant approved for use in hazardous material areas.
- Mop floors using a trolley with separate compartments for clean and dirty water, using a detergent suitable for chemical spill areas.
- Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise the bin interior and exterior.
- Inspect spill containment areas and clean as necessary, ensuring all cleaning agents used are compatible with stored materials.
