Objective

Ensure the cleanliness and sanitisation of emergency equipment areas within the transportation hub to maintain safety and hygiene standards.

Scope of Work
  • Dust and wipe all surfaces of emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency signage.
  • Sanitise touchpoints on emergency equipment, such as handles and buttons, using appropriate disinfectants.
  • Ensure all emergency equipment is free from visible dirt, dust, and debris.
  • Check and clean surrounding areas, including floors and walls, to prevent dust accumulation.
  • Empty and clean rubbish bins in the vicinity of emergency equipment.
Method
  1. Use a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination, ensuring separate cloths and mops for different areas.
  2. Dust surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust effectively.
  3. Apply a disinfectant solution to a clean cloth and wipe down all touchpoints on emergency equipment.
  4. Vacuum or sweep the surrounding floor area to remove loose dirt and debris.
  5. Mop the floor with a sanitising solution, ensuring no residue is left behind.
  6. Inspect the area to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standard.
