Objective
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the fine dining area of a transportation hub, ensuring compliance with Australian cleaning standards and enhancing the dining experience for patrons.
Scope of Work
- Dusting of all surfaces including tables, chairs, and decorative elements.
- Vacuuming of carpeted areas and spot cleaning as necessary.
- Mopping of hard floors with appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Sanitising of all high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and railings.
- Cleaning and sanitising of dining tables and chairs after each use.
- Emptying and sanitising rubbish bins and replacing liners.
- Cleaning and polishing of glass surfaces and mirrors.
- Ensuring all cleaning activities comply with food safety standards as per Food Standards Australia New Zealand.
Method
- Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth, ensuring all dust is removed from tables, chairs, and decorative elements.
- Vacuum carpeted areas thoroughly, paying special attention to corners and under furniture. Spot clean any stains using appropriate carpet cleaning solutions.
- Mop hard floors using a neutral pH floor cleaner, ensuring no residue is left behind.
- Sanitise high-touch surfaces with a disinfectant spray, allowing appropriate contact time for effective germ kill.
- After each dining session, clean and sanitise tables and chairs using a food-safe sanitiser.
- Empty rubbish bins, sanitise the interior and exterior, and replace liners.
- Clean glass surfaces and mirrors with a glass cleaner, ensuring a streak-free finish.
- Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the required cleanliness standards.

Fail | Significant dust accumulation. Floors are dirty with multiple stains. High-touch surfaces are not sanitised. Glass surfaces are dirty. Rubbish bins are overflowing and have strong odour. |
