Objective
Ensure the Fire Equipment Store in the Transportation Hub is maintained to the highest cleaning standards, ensuring safety and compliance with Australian regulations.
Scope of Work
- Dust all surfaces, including shelves and equipment.
- Sanitise all high-touch surfaces, including door handles and light switches.
- Vacuum and mop floors using appropriate cleaning agents.
- Empty and sanitise rubbish bins.
- Inspect and clean any visible cobwebs or insect presence.
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with relevant safety standards.
Method
- Use a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
- Dust surfaces using microfibre cloths to capture dust effectively.
- Sanitise high-touch areas with a disinfectant approved for use in fire equipment stores.
- Vacuum floors using a HEPA-filtered vacuum cleaner to ensure air quality.
- Mop floors with a neutral pH cleaner to avoid damage to equipment.
- Dispose of rubbish in designated bins and replace liners.
- Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet quality criteria.

| Fail | Heavy dust accumulation; floors are dirty with significant debris; high-touch areas are not sanitised; strong odours present; rubbish bins are overflowing or dirty. |
