Objective
Ensure the Flight Information Display area is clean, sanitised, and visually appealing to enhance passenger experience and comply with Australian cleaning standards.
Scope of Work
- Dust and wipe all display surfaces, including screens and frames.
- Sanitise touchpoints such as buttons and interactive elements.
- Remove smudges, fingerprints, and marks from screens.
- Vacuum and mop surrounding floor area to remove dirt and debris.
- Empty and clean rubbish bins in the vicinity.
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
Method
- Use a microfibre cloth to dust and wipe display surfaces, ensuring no streaks are left behind.
- Apply a suitable sanitiser to touchpoints and allow to air dry.
- Use a screen-safe cleaner to remove smudges and fingerprints from screens.
- Vacuum the floor area using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner, followed by mopping with a neutral pH floor cleaner.
- Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and clean bins with a disinfectant.

Fail | Significant dust, smudges, or fingerprints on displays; touchpoints not sanitised; floors dirty with visible debris; bins overflowing. |
Documentation
- Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks
- Incident Reports: Documentation of any cleaning-related incidents, spills, or issues encountered
- Maintenance Records: Record any maintenance needs identified during cleaning (for reporting to maintenance team)
- Photos: Before and after photos as requested to document cleaning completion and quality
