Objective

To ensure a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment in the mosque area of the transportation hub, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and practices.

Scope of Work
  • Dusting all surfaces including prayer mats, shelves, and windowsills.
  • Vacuuming carpets and prayer mats using a HEPA-filter vacuum.
  • Mopping hard floors with a neutral pH cleaner.
  • Sanitising high-touch areas such as door handles, taps, and light switches.
  • Cleaning and sanitising ablution areas, ensuring no water pooling.
  • Emptying and sanitising rubbish bins.
  • Cleaning windows and mirrors to be streak-free.
  • Ensuring all cleaning activities comply with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
Method
  1. Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust and allergens.
  2. Vacuum carpets and prayer mats thoroughly, ensuring no debris is left behind.
  3. Mop hard floors using a mop and bucket with a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no residue is left.
  4. Sanitise high-touch areas with a disinfectant spray, allowing adequate contact time.
  5. Clean ablution areas with a non-abrasive cleaner, ensuring all surfaces are dry to prevent slips.
  6. Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise the bin interior and exterior.
  7. Clean windows and mirrors using a glass cleaner and a squeegee for a streak-free finish.
