Objective
To ensure the nursing room within the transportation hub is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, providing a safe and welcoming environment for users.
Scope of Work
- Dust all surfaces including benches, shelves, and equipment.
- Sanitise all high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and taps.
- Clean and sanitise changing tables and nursing chairs.
- Empty and sanitise rubbish bins.
- Vacuum and mop floors using a colour-coded cleaning system.
- Ensure all dispensers (soap, sanitiser) are refilled and clean.
- Check and clean air vents and ensure they are free from dust and debris.
- Inspect and clean any mirrors or glass surfaces.
Method
- Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust effectively.
- Apply a hospital-grade disinfectant to all high-touch areas and allow appropriate dwell time before wiping clean.
- Use a sanitising solution on changing tables and nursing chairs, ensuring all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned.
- Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise the bin interior and exterior.
- Vacuum the floor using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner, then mop with a neutral pH floor cleaner using a colour-coded mop.
- Refill soap and sanitiser dispensers, ensuring no residue is left on the dispensers.
- Wipe air vents with a damp cloth to remove dust and debris.
- Clean mirrors and glass surfaces with a glass cleaner, ensuring no streaks remain.

Fail | Surfaces are dusty. Glass surfaces are streaked. High-touch areas are not sanitised. Floors are dirty or wet. Air vents are clogged with dust. Rubbish bins are full or unsanitised. |
